A sofa can be beautifully chosen and still look unfinished — flat cushions, one fabric throughout, nothing to catch the light. It is the most-used piece of furniture in the house, and very often the least styled.
Corduroy is the easiest correction. The ribbing gives a sofa or a bed instant texture and shadow, and because the colour is solid rather than patterned, you can layer two or three across a seat without anything clashing. Three sizes let you build the usual arrangement of larger covers set behind smaller ones.
The fabric is the appeal: a durable corduroy carrying the same ribbed texture on both faces, so the cover looks considered from every angle. An invisible zip runs along one side, keeping the seam clean and making the cover simple to remove for washing.
