Some corners of a home are simply unresolved. A hallway console, the end of a mantelpiece, the gap beside a fireplace — too small for furniture, too visible to leave bare, and a lamp there would be one lamp too many.
A lit branch answers that kind of space. Standing 72cm tall, it reads as something between a sculpture and a light: a spray of white birch twigs carrying twenty small LEDs, giving off just enough glow to soften a dark corner without competing with the room’s real lighting. It arrives folded flat and every branch bends by hand, so you open it out and shape it to the space rather than the other way round.
The pale bark finish and the fine copper wire threading each twig keep it delicate at close range, and the light is scattered through the branches rather than pointed anywhere. Because it runs on batteries there is no cable to hide, which is what makes it usable on a shelf or in the middle of a table where a lamp never could be.
