The sofa is where the evening actually happens — and it is where there is never anywhere to put anything. A mug balanced on a cushion, the remote lost somewhere down the side, a coffee table just far enough away to be annoying.
This tray turns the arm of the sofa into the surface you were missing. A recessed well holds a mug or glass steady, the flat section takes a phone, a remote or a small plate, and the whole thing lifts away when you are done. No side table, no reaching.
It is made from bamboo, with a felt-lined underside that sits against the upholstery. The two side panels are jointed in narrow strips so they fold down over armrests of different widths, and the top section slides off to be used on its own as a small serving or desk tray.
