Tea carried through the house one item at a time never quite arrives as an occasion. Cups go down wherever there is room, the pot sits on a folded tea towel, and the table ends up looking like a worktop rather than somewhere to sit.
A tray settles all of that. Lay out the pot, two cups and something small to eat, and the whole thing moves together and lands as one composed arrangement — on the coffee table, at a desk, or carried out to the garden. Five sizes are offered, from a narrow tray for a single cup and a book to a broader one for tea for two or a few small dishes.
It is made from wood, left simple: clean edges, a shallow lip, and the grain doing all of the decorative work. Wood warms a table in a way that glass and metal do not, and a tray like this improves with handling — the surface softening quietly with use rather than looking worn.
