Wall lighting is what a room is missing when the ceiling light is on and it still feels flat.
Light at eye level, low and warm, doing the work a single overhead fitting never manages.
A hand-woven lantern casts that light sideways and upward across the wall it sits on, so the plaster picks up a soft patterned shadow rather than a hard pool. Beside a bed, along a hallway, or either side of a doorway, it gives a wall depth after dark and texture in the daylight.
Each shade is woven by hand from natural fibre, so weave, grain and tone vary a little between pieces. The silhouette is a simple lantern. Unfussy, tactile and quiet against painted walls and timber.
